The Challenge of Fiscal Sustainability
Dear Friend,
In this message, I share with you some events and activities we have been dealing with at the EU Delegation in Washington. I participated in two conferences – one in Washington, DC, and the other at Yale University – where the discussion revolved around the economic situation in Europe, the EU’s actions and reactions to the Greek crisis, and generally the need for leadership on both sides of the Atlantic to deal with the many global challenges we face, including how to exit the economic crisis, restart growth, and move ahead with the fight against climate change. We also welcomed to Washington this week a Delegation of Members of the European Parliament who met, among others, with US Members of Congress to advance the work of the Transatlantic Legislators Dialogue.
Sincerely,
Angelos Pangratis

web site. It gives bright young Americans a lifelong interest in economics
and in the EU-US partnership - which today is more important than
ever, as we work together for sustainable global recovery."
