Schools! It is never too early to start preparing for the 2012 Euro Challenge Competition! We are busy working behind the scenes to get everything ready for the new year that will kick off early in the fall. This year, we are delighted to be expanding the Euro Challenge to the Washington, DC region and to Texas. You can look forward to an even more exciting competition, so be prepared to do your best! We look forward to seeing you all at the orientations and talking to you on the Forum.
Teachers: Sign up sooner rather than later to participate in this year’s Euro Challenge. We have lots of new things to talk about. In particular, look out for announcements about an informational conference call in September, as well as plans and dates for orientations in your regions.
Students: Enjoy the last stretch of summer, and start looking forward to the competition events and preparations! There is so much information about the euro area in the news! We ask returning students and alumni to act as ambassadors for the program and spread the word about the competition to friends in your school and other schools.
The single most beneficial competition to offer kids a venue through which to learn and gain practical experience beyond our borders.
I can follow economic news and read about what is happening in the euro area and actually understand what is going on! All in all, participating in the Euro Challenge was an amazing experience.
The Euro Challenge brings the EU to life better than any text book or web site. It gives bright young Americans a lifelong interest in economics and in the EU-US partnership – which today is more important than ever, as we work together for sustainable global recovery.
