The Euro Challenge is a program of the Delegation of the European Union in Washington, D.C. The Delegation is pleased to support this innovative academic competition to encourage American students to learn more about the European Union and its single currency, the Euro (€).
The Euro Challenge is a program funded by the European Union under objective four of the Partnership Instrument (PI) enhancing widespread understanding and visibility of the Union and of its role on the world scene by means of public diplomacy, people-to-people contacts, cooperation in educational and academic matters, think tank cooperation and outreach activities to promote the Union's values and interests.
The Euro Challenge is one of the most important outreach activities undertaken by the EU Delegation in the US towards younger generations. Since its launch in 2005, it has reached around 600 teachers and more than 5,000 students across the country.
