It was a great experience. I would recommend it to any and every rising freshman and sophomore,It takes work, dedication and willingness to fail and try again. However it is definitely worth it if you have any interest in international affairs. I would 100% do it again.

My favorite aspect of the Euro Challenge is its focus on educating the next generation on what has become a seldom taught topic.  While its competitive spirit and presentations have much appeal, we appreciate the opportunity and resources provided by the Euro Challenge to understand European economics and economics more fully in general.  It is these concepts that we will carry with us through our professional careers.

My favorite part of the Euro Challenge was getting to learn about the European Union and France. Because our competition got postponed due to the corona virus, we had to edit parts of our presentation to adjust to the new situation. This was really interesting because I thought it showed how fast things change in the real world.”

My favorite part of this competition was definitely working with an amazing team. My team consisted of my best friends, and it was tons of fun competing with them. I really enjoyed doing research about the different problems/solutions that we explored, especially the ones I was passionate about. I also enjoy public speaking, so giving the presentation and participating in the Q&A was fun!

As every year since the start, a wonderfully conceived and executed program, and a remarkable growth experience for young men and women; Euro Challenge offers superb critical thinking skill development, a great formative challenge, and transformative interaction with passionate motivated practitioners

This is one of the most beneficial competitions our students participate in. We participate in 4 different competitions throughout the year, and all the kids rave about EuroChallenge the most. It is by far the most popular and sought after too, with each year having 30-40 students audition and try out to make our school team. Some past students found it so beneficial, they have even taken the initiative and started a state-wide competition in Michigan (sponsored by the Federal Reserve and the Michigan Council on Economic Education) called the “MiTown Economic Development Challenge” so students can learn more about their hometown economies like they do with the EU in EuroChallenge! Euro Challenge gives the kids the wide-open opportunity to dive into a topic and a country that interests them the most. I think that aspect of the competition is what really gets kids to buy in and dive deep in their research and understanding.

Participating in the Euro Challenge is a great resume builder and a terrific opportunity to meet new friends. You really grow closer over the few months working together. Not only that, you learn so much about the economic situation across the pond in such a short amount of time. Even if you don’t know anything about economics, it can really open your eyes to what’s happening in the world around you, and help develop an interest in something you never knew you could be interested in.
